a tea party.

My wonderful (and amazingly talented) friends put together a lovely tea party (possibly inspired by the Royal Wedding). The rules were head adornments/hats and pastels.

a grande engagement.

As you may have picked up from the last post, my charming & adorable boyfriend of the past three years proposed! I should have known... but I had been so busy with my graduation that I had forgotten I told him "you have to wait until after I graduate!" to propose. Little did I know he would wait exactly one week! He flew in our friend, and amazing photographer, Jessica Valle for the proposal and engagement shoot. It was quite fun working with her and Ryan while walking all round the piers and pike place for the photos. Here are my favourites; hope you enjoy them:

Engagement outfit: 1. silk print blouse Tulle   2. pima modal tank Vince   3. high waisted skirt American Apparel   4. ankle booties Forever 21

the end of a chapter.

I finally am done with my collegiate undergrad studies in psychology! So long to the midterms, finals, examinations, and 10-, 20-, 30- page papers! Farewell to the all nighters consisting of procrastination, break-throughs, epiphanies, online-shopping breaks, and midnight ramen cravings before due dates... I know they were tough... but I'll miss being in school. I've been taking college preparatory classes since the seventh grade, as well as college courses during my high school years. Sometimes I feel like all I know how to do is to be in school! Alas, on to the "real world"... but not without a little celebrating!

Tonight's Soundtrack.

I'm getting ready for the new apartment and packing up some summer clothes.  It's really difficult trying to figure out what I need versus what I want, and I cannot fit all that I want into my apartment...

It's been a stressful past few weeks with changes at work, finals weeks (yes, more than one), the new apartment, and commencement... I thought some good music would help relieve the stress!

Vancouver Fashion Week: Street Style

I recently found this picture for Vancouver Fashion Week's Street Style blog.  They found me on my visit to Vancouver, BC last Spring.  I really enjoyed my stay there and am longing to go back.  It was still quite cold around Spring time last year, just after the Olympic games.  Considering the possibility of traveling there this Summer season.

last night's parties.

 1. print neon dress BCBG.   2. leather blazer ASOS.   3. neon yellow skinny belt ASOS.   4. winter legging American Apparel.   5. boots Sam Edelman.   6. blue-grey leather hobo Onna Erlich.

We went out to celebrate Karen's birthday with drinks and sport improv theatre at Unexpected Productions in Post Alley near Pike Place.  It was my first time at an improv show... it was fantastic! I will surely attend again.

Afterwards, we headed over to Bathtub Gin & Co. for some more drinks.  Marcus, the bartender, was great.  Everyone there had a story to tell and was incredibly friendly.  I also managed to devour an entire foot long polish hot dog (from the street vendor) while there... It was a heroic feat (for me, at least).

Voici mon secret. Il est très simple: on ne voit bien qu’avec le coeur. L’essentiel est invisible pour les yeux.

And now here is my secret, a very simple secret: It is only with the heart that one can see rightly; what is essential is invisible to the eye.
